Not an ex player technically but an interview with McDermott and Ady Williams

Lol, second paragraph says Mark Warburton is the new manager.
Could have re-signed him a few years ago when he was out of contract
That's shitter than a lot of the dross on the Team board ffs.Basildon wrote:Lol, second paragraph says Mark Warburton is the new manager.

I didn’t really buy much of Kitson’s interview. Thought he came across as a bit of a knob-end deliberately taking a contrarian view, because it actually gets him notoriety. Even though he says he doesn’t like any fame, etc. If that’s the case, I would tow the line a little more and keep my head downAthleticoSpizz wrote:A decent listen, and a complex character, our Dave, pulls no punches.
Still remains my ‘modern day’ hero
Clarke was right. Refused to play for the club when we were playing kids and had an injury crisis (under Adkins I think) to engineer a move away...never got why some on twitter call him a club legend.paddy20 wrote:Hammond wanted him back but turned down by Steve Clarkepaddy20 wrote:Could have re-signed him a few years ago when he was out of contract
Kebe had to be persuaded not to leave the January we got promoted. Greater player on his day (of which there were many) but always struck me as a bit soft and the sort to be a hypochondriac. Pretty unreliable sort and well past his prime by the time he left. From Despair To Where? wrote:Adkins claims he feigned injury to engineer a move to Palace, Kebe claims he had a hamstring tweak.. Considering he had spent the previous 6 months out injured, I would imagine the truth lies somewhere between the 2, and in all likelihood, Kebe didn't see the value in potentially aggrivating an injury in a relatively unimportant fixture.
I agree. I thought Kebe was quite a lightweight who spent a lot of time on his backside, but sweet to watch when he got it right.Snowflake Royal wrote:Kebe had to be persuaded not to leave the January we got promoted.
