I think the death rate will climb

The APPARENT death rate is made to look lower because many people are sick still.

They may recover but some will die

Look at the death rate percentage and apply it to the official numbers still I’ll.

There is no way, for example, That Germany can be 0.15% and Italy 6.8%

They will move close to parity, probably between 4 and 4.5%

Also as viruses mutate they usually get weaker which should mean catching the virus in 2-3 months time will be less serious. So expect the death rate to rise. Then flatten, the fall back a bit.

Nothing to do with medical skills, just how pandemics work

Agree with this, but the other factor is that the overwhelming majority of cases are comparatively mild and do not require medical intervention, with people able to isolate and self-medicate at home.

These cases will never be recorded but their inclusion would lower the rate of mortality considerably.
