The changes have been approved. L1 clubs can now spend only 50% of revenue on wages (down from 60%), and the manager wages are now also included in that.

Champ clubs relegated can spend 65% in their first season , down from 75%.

Using academy players could now be even more important as it potentially allows you to operate a smaller "senior" squad and have decent back up players.

Seems like Couhig was supportive of this, no?

Couhig on South today earlier saying he’s fully behind Richardson and doesn’t care what the fans think.
That should help boost season ticket sales!

He would say that. He was his first choice for the job when the takeover was complete. We shall see how much he backs him in the next window. He can’t let him fail, that reflects on him.

I find it hard to believe they were the exact words he used.

I think his actual words were “I don’t care what football fans think”.
Make of that what you will. Or are you suggesting Reading supporters aren’t football fans.?
Admittedly we haven’t seen much proper football the last few months

Yeah, after all the hype of the past year I was a bit surprised at the tone and thought "Did he really say that?"

True colours shown perhaps and he is only here to try and make money-why else would an old boy like him care about little clubs like us and Wycombe in the South of England as he confesses not to know much about football.
Well that makes two of them (LR and him  )
