Fair critique. They did create better chances than us. I was more trying to make the point that in terms of quality, both teams were clearly severely lacking in that match. Very much a mid-league-1 game. Both sides frequently lost control of the ball under little or no pressure, I think the two times I thought there would be a goal it was Blackpool shooting from the edge of the area.MR. At least twice JP made saves when they were clear through on goal.ILoveMoonPig wrote: ↑04 May 2026 16:15 To be completely fair to him, there was very little to pick between the two sides, we were both poor and very low on quality in that game. Passes being mis-hit, poor ball control, shots ballooning over the bar, crosses flying straight over the entire pitch etc etc.
Although zero shots on target at home against a club below us in the league, isn't great. The only thing I want from next season is now shots on target.
Would be great news if only it were true
Yes, we're miles away from that level, it's going to take an inspirational transfer window to compete at the top end of this God forsaken league.Ascotexgunner wrote: ↑24 May 2026 16:57 I have to agree. He would have gone by now. Watching the intensity of the Play off final it makes me realise how behind these teams we are....and will be next season playing the guff we've seen. Oh for a decent winger like Cissoko.
On holiday ?
That qualifies as busy
After watching the L2 play-off final yesterday, I think we are even miles off Notts County's level. I genuinely fear for us next season under Richardson.MR. Don’t worry. They have more sustainability than us, that is all. Apparently we will get ours in three to four years according to a certain Championship wooden spoon expert. In the meantime, we will doggedly out clog enough sides to keep us up.Ark Royal wrote: ↑26 May 2026 11:25After watching the L2 play-off final yesterday, I think we are even miles off Notts County's level. Having American owners the product is now monetised. £8 million pre-profit on £700 million of revenue in 24/25. Shows how fine the line is between success and failure.Linden Jones' Tash wrote: ↑30 May 2026 15:44 LOL.... watching Sky Sports News and Liverpool fans sounding like Reading fans right now....
