My answer to the tactical goalkeeper "injury" problem.

If a goalkeeper goes down injured and play is stopped, all the outfield players have to stand on the touch line on the opposite side of the pitch from the management and training staff. Any outfield player interaction with the non-playing staff is an immediate red card. That would sort it.

For what it's worth, I'd apply the same rule during cooling breaks. The players can pick up drinks / gels etc. left out for them on the opposite side of the pitch, but not interaction with the coaching staff allowed.

Let's see how it goes at the World Cup first.

Also be interesting to see where they stop with tactical timeouts, would two players holding the ball up by the corner flag would be classed as tactical and it's wasting time... maybe they'll try and ban that, make players only pass the ball forwards or sideways, not backwards and you have to alternate between feet, use the same foot twice in a row and it's a free kick

Goal kicks should be like serves in tennis - if the first one goes straight out then the keeper get a second go

Same goes for corners that hit the first man - here, have another go

Why should tennis players get multiple goes but footballers don't?

My dad hates when players obstruct the ball but I think it's fair game and a tactical part of the game, it's still entertaining to see players jostling for the ball.

Think it's that grey area between protecting the ball and obstruction.

Have to be careful not to sanitise the game too much.

Not long ago many of us were complaining that we didn't do any dirty tactics to manage games and it was somewhat of a relief to see more of it as needed, because everyone does it.

Havign said that, especially with world cup coming and different 'cultures' around what is reasonable cheating behaviour I think there are far more pressing issues to sort out than this!
