Cardiff still won't accept defeat  , now apparently looking at sueing Nantes for monies lost due to being relegated from the PL. The whole sorry mess is summarised in the latest HITC Sevens youtube:

Cardiff suing Nantes for £104M due to negligence over the death of Sala. Court case was on 8th December, the final verdict is due on 30th March.

as mentioned elsewhere, to help balance their books, Cardiff struck a 'litigation funding' deal with someone last year where they have sold a percentage of any potential winning money from this case, for £12M.

A court dismisses Cardiff’s €122m claim against Nantes over Emiliano Sala’s death

Rulings by Fifa, the court of arbitration for sport and Switzerland’s supreme court have gone against Cardiff in their legal dispute with Nantes since Sala died in January 2019.

The court ruled Nantes were not at fault in relation to the flight and that Cardiff did not suffer reputational damages. It added that Nantes suffered moral damage and ordered Cardiff to pay €300,000.

The correct decision, IMO.

Although, apparently, if Cardiff appeal, they will get a retrial and th whole sorry episode will be dragged out for another 2 years

I really don't see the logic proceeding given Fifa, the court of arbitration for sport and Switzerland’s supreme court have all gone against Cardiff

Good Cardiff are the ones having to pay for this. Find it disgusting they're still dragging this out tbh.

Because Cardiff ……

Disgusting that Emiliano’s name can’t be laid to rest, god knows how his poor family must feel when they hear that this is still going on.

Just read that Cardiff's statement after this decision was to say they disagree with the verdict and that they brought about this case 'out of respect for the memory of Emiliano Sala', which is quite a thing to come out with.

I am really not sure Cardiff could have gone about this any worse than they did
