96th, obviously.
Fair play

We'll be fine once we have a proper pre-season

Now to hear Leam talk about the fine margins. We are so back.

Luton could keep it up for 90+. We couldn’t. Simple as that.
But, but, but Leam told us last season that it was because of a poor pre-season before he got here...

You’d rather lose 1-0 than be put through that. How the f*ck do you bottle 3-1 on opening day?

But they brought better quality off the bench that us. It just shows what we all know - you can't compete with just a good starting XI. And we don't even have that at LB.

Ho hum... where to start...

Marriott can't carry a whole team....

This is a pretty damaging performance...

Reading don’t do opening day fixtures. Another season, another miserable result & a load of cr@p. Nice to see nothing has been learned after last season. Dreadful substitutions yet again leading to no real outlet and consequently no pressure or worries for Luton in the second half.

Next week jinx club Wimbledon.

TOPBUZZ :D
The plane has 15 mins of free WiFi. We've taken it in turns to follow the score. My youngest gets a Marriott hat trick, I get the winner for Luton. Same old Reading by the sounds of it.

Dear oh dear so we still can't defend or hold on to a lead, not even by 2 goals let alone 1 goal.

Looking like the same bottle job mentality as last season under this manager.

3-1 up at half time, what the fcuk were the instructions for the 2nd half??

There seems to be a mentality issue with us in recent years. If we're ahead and we concede a single goal, we collapse. We just can't seem to overturn a change in momentum.

Last season, LR had the excuse of a poor preseason, not his squad etc etc. This season, he doesn't have those excuses. The defence needs tightening and if he can't achieve it soon, he'll lose all the goodwill the club garnered from the fans over the summer.

Nothing changes. LR is incapable of change. He will not get this club anywhere near the promotion Couhig is demanding.

How must Marriott feel? First half hatrick but the overall strength of the squad is not good enough to even get a point.

O'Connor has been a massive disappointment. He was meant to be the leader of the defence, one of the best CBs in the league. But we've never once looked like an organised, confident, composed defence with him at the heart of it.

He's not our worst player, but he's falling a long, long, long way short of what I expected when we signed him.

I think it’s fairly obvious a lack of depth cost us, rather than anything tactical. Poor defending let down an improved attacking shape and performance that couldn’t be sustained by options from the bench.

RTG: we competed well in a 7 goal thriller against one of the league’s favourites with a much improved positive style of play.

STG: we are forced to bring on players out of position due to a lack of depth, we lack any sort of replacement for Marriott and our defence still seem capable of some absolute gash.

Perhaps Lincoln knew what they were doing when they sold him.

True, Marshall was rumoured to be £1m+ - but that’s no excuse for the terribly negative substitutions as soon as it was 3-3. He’s really got to go hasn’t he?

How to destroy all the good will that was somehow gained over the summer in 45 minutes
