The flip of course is under the new EFL deal, it is likely that every game will be available live for armchair fans via legal channels.Winston Biscuit wrote: ↑23 Mar 2026 11:20 I find it interesting the diffo between match going fans and armchair fans. For match going fans very little changes. if anything they will enjoy a season doing well in the Champ more than their PL seasons. they still go to the same ground, with the same mates, go through the same routines and rituals, watch the same clubs etc. Armchairs fans only have what's served up to them on telly, and Spurs not being on super sunday/match of the day etc, and having non glamorous opponents may be offputting
Unsurprisingly Spurs only point in their last 7 league games is that draw at the other comedians in the division, Liverpool.Sanguine wrote: ↑23 Mar 2026 12:01 Liverpool's start to the season helps mask what a disaster it has been. Since that fifth win, just nine victories in their next 26 league games. Appalling.
Spurs won five of their first nine - and just two since. They've conceded at least two goals in all but one of their last 12 league games (1-1 with Liverpool). Just seven clean sheets in 31 league games this season - yet they managed six in eight Champions League group games.
I still can't believe they will go down but that stat is horrific.....
Same, just feel they will somehow find a win or two somewhere and sneak it - they have Brighton (H) next before a trip to Wolves who may already be down. If they fail to win either of those, then it could well be that the writing is on the wall.Ascotexgunner wrote: ↑12 Apr 2026 19:25I still can't believe they will go down but that stat is horrific.....
Spurs would be the biggest story/LOLWestYorksRoyal wrote: ↑13 Apr 2026 22:06 It's close now. Leeds 6 points clear and still have the bottom 2 to play at home. This weekend, Spurs host in form Brighton while Forest host Burnley. A Forest win and Spurs loss creates another 6 point gap. That just leaves West Ham, who have actually been pretty good in 2026 after looking dead and buried at Christmas.
Basically, Brighton is a tough game and Spurs have to win it.
It's just a huge shame Reading aren't in the Championship - would be great to have them in the same league.SouthDownsRoyal wrote: ↑13 Apr 2026 22:43Spurs would be the biggest story/LOLWestYorksRoyal wrote: ↑13 Apr 2026 22:06 It's close now. But for me, spurs or West Ham, happy for either to go down
Crosses my mind often, it’s such a good league, league one is justkatweslowski wrote: ↑14 Apr 2026 09:28It's just a huge shame Reading aren't in the Championship - would be great to have them in the same league.SouthDownsRoyal wrote: ↑13 Apr 2026 22:43Spurs would be the biggest story/LOLWestYorksRoyal wrote: ↑13 Apr 2026 22:06 It's close now. Still though - League One is shaping up to have a lot of "big clubs" in - at least in terms of typical league one level
