A previous Company I worked for had a major factory in Venlo, and I visited there a few times; I always keep an eye out for their results (and those of Fortuna Sittard as an ex colleague is the fans representative on the Board of Directors there!).

Spin off - Teams who's results you look out for due to a very small link in the past

Paderborn, Galatasaray & Benfica. All due to old work colleagues who were in the UK but were big fans of these clubs so I would often end up in conversations about them. The Benfica bloke helped to run the UK Benfica fan club, he had a relative who was involved in the making of the club or turning them professional or something. He also organised events in some pub in London to watch big Portuguese games and said for the derby games this pub would be decorated in the nations colours and was rammed with Portuguese folk. He invited me there for a game but I never made it.

On Preston, they have won every away game so far this year, so I don't think it was too much of a surprise.
