A more entertaining product isn't going to happen with this manager.
Why? Because you say so?
Yes, seeing I pay to go to games I believe in entitled to that opinion
No one's said you can’t have an opinion. Opinions aren't inviolate and unchallengeable. And it's generally a good idea to base them on good thinking and evidence.

Btw, I have both a Season Ticket and a full season pass online. So I likely pay more. Just fyi.

Good is relative.

They are good for this level this season but they play rather stale football in being good.
They are a fairly middle of the road team for this level.
The proximity to play-off positions gives the impression that we are doing quite well when in fact we are some 26 points off the top and 28 above the bottom.

We will end up in a better position than looked likely early on in the season as will Plymouth with both clubs showing progress from a low level.
Does that make us a good team?
No, IMHO, a good team is Lincoln or Cardiff and there is no point in getting promotion if you aren't a good team so I am happy to wait and see next season if the improvement in results continues and along with that, and to keep season ticket sales up as well as matchday revenue from occasional fans, we can hope that the "product" is more entertaining.
If one's definition of a good team is top two, then one is going to be watching a not good team 95% of the time, and if one doesn't like that, it's time to reconsider following football.
There are many reasons why people follow or watch football.
Mine is a combination of habit and maintaining close family links by coming up to Reading for home games.

I get my good football fix by watching the better teams in England and Europe on TV nowadays-I get my football fan fix by following Reading.
Of late, if I weren't a fan, I wouldn't watch Reading for football entertainment.

Your 95% is correct, the rest are mostly much of a muchness who occasionally do better than moderate.

BTW MR Cynical and I should not be lectured by a newbie like you as to whether we should reconsider following football-perhaps what we should reconsider is whether we should block you on this board to save reading posts that are so often unnecessarily rude and aggressive to people who happen to share the common interest of Reading FC and may at times have a different view to yours.

I watch football because my mates at school said you're only cool if you're into football, otherwise you're a big girl's blouse. I'm definitely not the latter, so...

There's nothing rude, aggressive or lecturing about what I said. I expressed an opinion. I have a right to an opinion too, or is that only allowed for people you agree with?

This time not, but so often it is.
