Why do football fans use the expression "tactically naive"?Lower West wrote:That was embarrassing. Stam's fixation with a set style of play maybe his downfall. Tactically naive from the kick off. Is this Stam's way of telling the owners what investment is required. In order to achieve the goals he has set personally. All that was required was a single point to secure a play off place.
For a great defender. Having a team that has conceded 49 goals in 22 league away games. Something is awry. Out of the 22 we've only kept 4 clean sheets (Rotherham, Cardiff, Birmingham and Sheffield). That's 2.72 goals a game for the remainder.leon wrote:Why do football fans use the expression "tactically naive"?Lower West wrote:That was embarrassing. It basically says they know more about football than the manager. In this case a manager that had played at the very highest level.
Yeah right.
But if we do it its ok right?Davezk wrote:Forest's time wasting was infuriating. Kicking/throwing the ball away. Stopping us take our throw ins. The ballgirls just decided to go AWOL and not do their job. Pathetic way of trying to grind out the win they should be embarrassed.

It was nice to see but don't understand why it was brave?Gordons Cumming wrote:As Stam said they were more aggressive than us. It was interesting to see Garath Mcleary join us all in the stands. Very brave of him.
What's to be scared of he was bantering with fans at halftime outside and at half timeGordons Cumming wrote:Don't think he moved from his seat. Too scared probably.Melton Royal wrote:Did he buy the half time beers though??Gordons Cumming wrote: It was interesting to see Garath Mcleary join us all in the stands. Very brave of him.

Unless you experiment with these players, you will never know what they are capable of. At least Stam learned something about Popa. That will help him with his tactical decision making going forward. That's why it probably needs 3 years to build a team. The fact that Stam has done it in just 10 months is amazing. Well done Stam. He still needs to learn about his players and experiment whenever he gets a chance.Sutekh wrote:Utterly clueless rubbish for the first hour and then played well for the last half an hour. A bit like the Derby game but in reverse.
Did not understand why on earth Popa was being used as a wing back as he looked hopeless in that role

Be grateful that Leeds have taken only 1 point from the last 18. Still only 6 behind us.Top Flight wrote: Forest away when we are as good as in the playoffs is as good a time as any to do a little bit of experimentation.
