Why on earth would we risk him now, given our season is effectively over? Give him longer in recovery/rehab and then a full pre-season.
I mean, it's not over is it? Stevenage at home to Lincoln so the gap could vey reasonably be 2pts come 5pm tomorrow.
Even if that happened (unlikely IMO), it's not just Stevenage that we're competing against for a playoff spot is it?
Well yes, but regardless of what happens with the other games, in the hypothetical situation that Stevenage lose, 6th will remain on 67 points.

This isn't to say I think we'll actually crash the play-offs, maybe if Marriott is actually back on Cardiff as was predicted.

What do Opta say on our play off chances? 1%?

Though being fair, I expect the players and management to be fighting to the last until it's 0%. So if Marriott can play a role, he should. He'll have a whole month's rest and then another month's pre season to get fully fit.

They must have some sort of expectation of something happening. They didn't do this for Plymouth despite the abnormally large police presence in town.

Last game I remember dispersal areas being in place was against Oxford a few years ago.

1.54%.

  • 6th - 1.50%
  • 7th - 8.52%
  • 8th - 16.00%
  • 9th - 24.00%
  • 10th - 25.60%
  • 11th - 19.50%
  • 12th - 4.22%
  • 13th - 0.56%
  • 14th - 0.06%

Ah, Oxford coming to Town on a Tuesday night...

It was like the Wild West outside the Monk's Retreat with plastic patio chairs being thrown through the air between two groups of Stone Islanders then the whispers of "Dad do your coat up" as I sat in close proximity to some burly Oxford fans on the train to Green Park

Those were the days!

I'm hoping (for obvious reasons) that Oxf*rd get relegated. It was fun when they came to Reading, just a shame it was a Tuesday night and a fairly poor attendance all round. I also didn't have the chance to go to the away game

Back in the day there was the famous Bullivant game, where I witnessed quite a few of the 'firm' boarding the train at Tilehurst Station to outwit the old bill. Carnage in Oxford ensued.

As deluded as it sounds I haven't given up on the play-offs but I'm like 90-95% there, we obviously have to win all our remaining games and even that probably won't be enough, I suspect I'll be at 100% after today.

Looked like it would be a 14/15,000 crowd today (including the ~3,000 Cardiff fans) when I checked last night for those who are interested.

Basically our typical home crowd this season.

Not expecting too much with that side tbh

Nyambe and Burns are here on loan, so no.

Doyle has been on and off injured, but Savage seems an abrupt omission.

Think Nyambe and Burns are both on loan. Williams missing (conspiracy theories abound) or hes injured.
Anyway, decided to cut the lawn this afternoon.
