After we won promotion in 2006, there were stories about that the club were trying to renage on the bonuses for players for achieving promotion. Was the collapse in home form a sign from the players that all was not well behind the scenes and that there were some nasty rumours doing the rounds about what the players would or wouldn't get?

He played upfront as a wide forward. It was pretty obviously the same 4-3-3 we played away. Just look at the midfield, it was identical. When Kitson came on in the first leg he was out on the left hand side of the attacking 3. Same way as Church was on the right and side of the three in the second leg.

If you look at the areas Church played in, they were out wide, including defending infront of rosenoir, thats not playing in Kitsons position

It's playing in the position Kitson was playing in, in the previous game when he replaced Doyle. We certainly weren't playing 1 up front. 2 wide forwards and a central striker.

He wasnt playing in the position Kits was playing in. As someone else pointed out, Kitson played through the middle when he came on in the previous game, Church played out on the wing

We started 4-3-3 with Long preferred over Kitson for centre forward role and Church and Kebe the front wide men. Church was subsequently replaced by Little. At least thats what is says on the OS!

I have no inside knowledge on this one, but this story sounds extremely plausible, and I have heard if from a couple of people (although of course it may have started with the same source, or been exaggerated as it went on).

It certainly wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Kitson came out with such a smart-arse remark to inflame the situation - he's got a long and distinguished record of doing that.,

comments get made, if true it shows that the dressing room was not such a happy place, it also shows that coppell was a tad stuffed, with senior players acting like that I would say it was in the best interests of some of the younger players to go out on loan while things were sorted out at RFC, and there is one hell of a sort out started.
