the official line coming out of portsmouth is that they have knocked coppell back, however i have heard it's the other way around. coppell wanted assurances he could manage freely, as he did at reading, but this couldn't be promised. the board want to be more involved than they really need to be and that didn't sit well with coppell.

My immediate question is: why would they boo a man who essentially is their football club? The best manager in their history, a man who has given his all for them, over and over again, despite the clubs hopeless finances and stature which keeps them from competing on level terms?

Football fans in having no brain and showing lack of rational thought capability shocker.

Because they watch the Premier League on Sky, believe the hype they see and read everywhere about the game, and want some of it at their club - without having the faintest understanding of the realities of football finance for clubs outside the PL.
