05 Nov 2011 17:13the official line coming out of portsmouth is that they have knocked coppell back, however i have heard it's the other way around. coppell wanted assurances he could manage freely, as he did at reading, but this couldn't be promised. the board want to be more involved than they really need to be and that didn't sit well with coppell.Royalee wrote:Why? My immediate question is: why would they boo a man who essentially is their football club? The best manager in their history, a man who has given his all for them, over and over again, despite the clubs hopeless finances and stature which keeps them from competing on level terms?
Football fans in having no brain and showing lack of rational thought capability shocker.

11 Nov 2011 14:33Because they watch the Premier League on Sky, believe the hype they see and read everywhere about the game, and want some of it at their club - without having the faintest understanding of the realities of football finance for clubs outside the PL.TBM wrote:Probably because most of them weren't born when he took overIdeal wrote:Read here:TBM wrote:Dario Gradi has stepped down as manager of Crewe, after a staggering 28 years at the club (26 of those as manager)

Im surprised they went back to him.....he dumped them when Hull came knocking, so whats not to say he'll do it again if a Wigan/West Brom etc do too!??Barry the bird boggler wrote:Nigel Pearson and the rest of the Hull backroom team now at Leicester. He and Mandaric clashed big time. Can't blame Pearson for going, and nor did many of the fans.TBM wrote:Im surprised they went back to him.....he dumped them when Hull came knocking, so whats not to say he'll do it again if a Wigan/West Brom etc do too!??Barry the bird boggler wrote:Nigel Pearson and the rest of the Hull backroom team now at Leicester.
