STAR membership and Royalty points

I can categorically assure you that the information of all members who have joined STAR before the end of October is with the FC - just to overcome reports of non-receipt an updated file (with all data) was sent at the start of last week, and has been confirm received.

So now 2 weeks since info was resent to the Club and still no points...the question is whether I'll get my points earlier than for last season (3 March!)

I now have 2 lines in my Order History as "LOYALTY POINTS EXTRAS " and "EXTRA ROYALTY POINTS", each for 5 points (i.e. 10 in total) so presumably this is for the STAR membership?

Despite many lists being sent to RFC they seem to have fallen into a black hole, however, I am hoping that has now been plugged. I know you've heard it before. But this time I have a personal assurance that it is being taken care of. I have every confidence that over the next few days all those members who have joined up to the 7th November will have their points added to their account. Should anyone have a query please send your name & STAR mem number to membership@star-reading.org.

Still none on my partner's account... I do note, however, that last season's STAR membership points were added on 3rd March this year... only another 4 months to wait then !!!!

There are other reasons (not just either STAR or RFC cocking it up) why your points may not be added last year or this.

The box for passing your information had to be ticked. (a large percentage did not tick it and so under the Data Protection Act we could not pass on any details concerning you to RFC).

Your RFC membership number had to be added to the form. (Now necessary as it takes long enough with the number now we have so many nubers that it is asking too much for RFC to search for your entry any other way)

As one of the people who added the data to the database I know that there were quite a few this year who either did not give an RFC number at all or the number given was not the right format so was obviously not their RFC number.

That means you were not on the list given to them (maybe - but be aware it was a standard answer then in the TO as any problem had to be someone elses fault).

I suspect you did not tick the box though as whenever I took a membership I would ask why they had not ticked the box as they would not get any points and most people had not bothered to read it - then immediately ticked it.

I completed all the forms okay and as proof the problems not at my end I haven't done anything buy wait. I wonder what the real reason is for the delay
