STAR membership and Royalty points

I am currently processing my share of renewed members ready for sending out membership cards next Wednesday and there are a significant number of people who have not entered their RFC membership number on the renewal form. Without this number it will not be possible to get your 10 Royalty points when we give the club the relevant data. So if you think you are one of these please send a mail to info@star-reading.org as soon as possible quoting your name, your 2005/06 STAR number and your RFC number.

Once the initial tranche of members has been sent to RFC, we will be sending details of new members monthly and so it will not be possible to update individual members details any earlier than the next batch.

I still have not received royalty points from last season dispite numerous emails to STAR

There are 175 people in the same situation as you - the file containing your names has been sent to RFc twice, and we're awaiting this being entered - as it's a manual process for them it does take a while and is low priority, but we've asked many, many times and we're very hopeful that it will happen soon.

But we are trying, and we've done our bit .....

We can't check as it would breach Data Protection rules - that is part of the problem as we can only send the data and wait for the complaints that they have not been added

Sorry not my responsibility but we have a meeting tomorrow so should find out then when/if it was sent. As ever though once we send it we are in the hands of RFC for processing.

My friend joined STAR at the caravan on the first weekend of the Middlesbrough match, I know it was very busy that day but she is still waiting for the 10 Royalty points to be added to her RFC membership, is there still a hold up?

I sent in a postal application and no sign of any points yet. Strange how STAR can process the application efficiently using peoples good will/spare time - yet the professionals in the ticket office are clueless. ST should be sorted out, so they only have a couple of thousand home and away tickets to process now. What do they spend their time doing?

Sorry but we do not have access to the RFC database to add the points so we cannot promise when they will be added we can only supply the information. This is especially true at the moment as the person involved is having to cover the vacant sales office managers job too.

I think the club can at least tell you whether they have inputted the data you supplied without breaking the data protection act.

Everyone is still waiting except those who applied for STAR via the application form it seems, they've not even started to put them in yet.
