Yep, can see both of those happening.3points wrote:Could see bacuna being used as a right wing back as well if we play Gunter as a centre back
Think Clement might be used to give Swift some competition in an attacking midfield role as well.
I'd agree. He may not be a true box to box midfielder in the Sidwell mould but I think he could bring some solidity and brawn to central midfield.maffff wrote:Pretty much and he's hampered with Villa having not really had his own position. His attacking stats came out much clearer with Groningen, but less data was available and it's a different league. Given the fact a lot of that is in the Prem, in a side which was progressively getting worse and not in a passing style. He holds up pretty well. If his personality fits, I'd be very happy to give him a shot.

If it completes before then all that could happen is a gentleman's agreement.Nameless wrote:Not sure such clauses are allowed are they ? Something about one team not being allowed to interfere with selection of another team ?
However all they have to do is delay the deal until Tuesday afternoon to come to the same end result.

BBC Berks were reporting that they have been led to believe the deal will be finalised and signed later today (Sunday). The player was at the game yesterday and apparently sitting in the director's box. Let's hope he's not been put off by the performanceRoyalwaster wrote:Who says that we've actually signed him?
After the way he was treated by Villa fans, we should do everything we can to play him on Tuesday.maffff wrote:If it completes before then all that could happen is a gentleman's agreement.Nameless wrote:Not sure such clauses are allowed are they ? Nothing says that we have to adhere to it once he's our player though.

We play three midfielders. We currently have five, maybe six senior midfielders, one of whom has spent an entire season injured last year. We lost one of our senior first team regular midfielders in the summer.
Surely a midfielder should be on the shopping list?
Yes we want a striker more desperately, but we're very clearly chasing several. It would be a pretty shit DoF who just worked down his list of priorities only trying to sign one at a time. Multi-tasking is a thing you know?
That should be enough for our fans to dismiss him before he`s kicked a ball for us.tidus_mi2 wrote:Villa fans think he is shit but they also think Tshibola is shit and he was good for us, so who knows.
