ive heard that spurs bale money will be used to buy a number of players, including improved midfield options, and that Gylfi has been told he will be allowed to go if he wants to. His preference is to stay in the premiere league, but i understand that he would consider a move to reading if it was between us and one of the newly promoted clubs

Adkins says Royals are not 'actively looking to let anybody go'Nigel Adkins says he is not looking to shift any players out of his squad but admits that could all change if a decent bid comes in.

Royals’ boss was responding to speculation linking striker Pavel Pogrebnyak with a move to Russian side Rubin Kazan.

When asked about the link, Adkins said: “There’s not been any conversation that I’m aware of.

“Pavel has trained hard and puts a shift in every day.

“Things will always be speculated on about people coming or going and that’s only going to intensify for the rest of this month.

“We’re not actively looking to let anybody go, but if somebody made an offer, then the club would have to consider what it is.”
