We bring a manager in who plays a certain way with a 3-4-3 formation. We don't have the players for it, especially in midfield and wing-back positions. So we either stick with a traditional four at the back or address it in the transfer windowRoyal Rother wrote:Well yes, there is that.South Coast Royal wrote:No, please keep him.Royal Rother wrote:It seems a bit obvious but Amorim has to go.

...nah, fcuk that, let's bring in two number 10s and move the league's best* (GAA) number ten to run a two-man midfield. Suppose there was a prem 5-a-side league that could only be made up of #no. tens we'd batter everyone. Amad, Bruno, Cunha, Mbuemo, Mount, Zirksee, we could have a fcuking sub <SMH>. Make it make sense!
Dorgu has been hung out to dry. He'd be a good prospect at LB, a 20-year-old kid with a potentially high ceiling. He's not a wing-back, especially in a totally dysfunctional team
I've cut it short to be polite, but I really could go on with all the problems. Anyone thinking it's just the manager needs to have a hard think

3 goals in 35 for UTD. I've mentioned several times how poor the service for strikers isWinston Biscuit wrote:Hojlund has 3 goals in his first 5 games

21 Oct 2025 16:55Feels like Maguire gets the flack he does for the price Utd paid for him, which is obviously not his fault. Overpriced at £70m but he'd just had an excellent World Cup with England and was playing well for Leicester. If they'd have paid less than £40m for him, I think a lot of people would have a very different view of him.Winston Biscuit wrote:Not a fan of the attempted re-writing of Harry Maguire's time at man Utd from the very people who slated him so much
We see this from time to time. player becomes derided for whatever reason, they stick it out long enough to turn it around and come up with some good moments or performances, fans get behind player, journalists who were behind the deriding suddenly start gushing over the player, claiming they always knew he would come good, and point fingers at the other journalists claiming the player was hard done by.

26 Nov 2025 17:11Like the time you couldn't beat a team that was down to nine (9) players. Collective performance is not necessarily rational. I can't remember if you were good that year, and it was just an off-performance, or if you were on a relegation spiral.Dirk Gently wrote:That performance against a 10-man Everton was utterly brainless. There are ways to break down a team in that situation - you move the ball at speed, you stretch the pitch etc - but they just ignored that basic stuff. Painful (and comical) to watch.
Brainless players? Brainless manager? Or both?
