Ernesto Valverde confirms he is leaving Athletic Bilbao at the end of the season. He will be a man in demand i would think. Also Iriola may be tempted to replace him.

Can see our ‘once fancied’ Gareth Ainsworth getting the chop at Gillingham soon, absolutely abysmal results recently.

Tudor is decapitated from Tottenham

After the Tudor era, they should choose one of...

Stuart Maynard
Stuart Kettlewell
Stuart McCall
Stuart Pearce
Stuart Baxter

Sounds like Zidane has finally landed himself the France job. Though this did happen before (2022?) and Deschamps changed his mind late doors and asked to stay on

Bristol City sack Gerhard Struber - and appoint Roy Hodgson as interim manager to the end of the season.

with 7 games to go they are 12 points off the play offs and are 11 points ahead of the relegation zone. Their season is done.

Hodgson? That's one of the oddest appointments I've ever seen.

What are the club's thoughts behind it?

Why is he taking it?

I suppose he might be missing football but I find the whole thing a bit weird.

Didn’t he start out managing at Bristol City, after he left Supertramp, back In the early 80s?

Therefore it’s logical :?

I just assume he has a personal connection there and is doing them a favour as there is no pressure on the job.

Ah yes, very good on all fronts! :D

(I'd forgotten that. But he WAS sacked after 4 months in charge - unfinished business is a bit weak, but who knows?!)

His first stint at City was blighted by their financial collapse at the time so suspect his short tenure may have been more of a cost cutting exercise than necessarily a reflection on his ability.

Yes indeed, but it's not like he would have formed an emotional connection to the club, as such, I'd have thought (was the point I was making).

But anyway, I quite like to see the old boys coming back in - just hope he enjoys it and does okay.

He's just making sure Spurs don't call him before the end of the season.

De Zerbi looks set to take over at Spurs but Iraola has suddenly just gone to 1/50 at the bookies out of nowhere
