Well, it isn’t really, but that’s how the rules lie ATM.

Would have looked extreme had Bristol won 0-3

The extreme idea was brought in to hopefully put a stop to spurious predictions of 6-0 or 0-7

But say RFC were drawn away to Man City in the FA Cup. Presumably most Nobbers would expect a big win for Man City, 4-0, 5-0, 6-0

THEN even a 1-0 win for RFC would be “extreme”

TWO CAVEATS

A 3-0 is usually in the extreme camp, but if we then get a 4-0 and a 5-0 prediction, I don’t always let the 3-0 off the hook. Instead I have “degrees of extreme” with penalties or bonuses as necessary.

Have to say extremes being right is very rare

Secondly, whereas 2-0 and 3-1 came out as extremes this game, if we get 4-5 or more 2-0 predictions then they can hardly be seen as “extreme”. I should really be using the word OUTLIER

Having said that, if we had five punters saying 4-0 and the result was 0-0 or 0-1 then YES all the 4-0s would get a penalty
