Who is the longest serving season ticket holder on here.

How long have you been a season ticket holder? I held one from 1993 - 2017 (stam season 1) then life stuff got in the way. So how long have you been a season ticket holder for? 24 consecutive years. I’m sure there are many on here who will dwarf that, but it’s a starter for 10.

I did 1987 to 2010 so not as long but I was living in Yorkshire for the last 4 of those years.

No consistency for me, again, life got in the way…workplace location, budget, kids wanting to sit with dad, tv dominant fixture changes at short notice (meaning I had to miss pre-paid for games because of work commitments)…gave up on them.

Having a relative working within the club gets my tickets for free these days anyhow

ST holder from around end of Bullivant era (I remember the pitch invasion, first game I remember going to was a Boxing Day game at Elm Park against the Baggies, perhaps 97 or 98) until 2005 or 2006

Since the 88/89 season.

One of the guys I went with for years has had one since about 81, I think, and another jacked it in after 2020, having got a season ticket in 82/83. He's not been to any Reading game since covid hit, although he'd been saying he would not renew for years.

To be honest, if the other guy stopped going, I'd probably quit too.

I don't think I'd miss it, but I would miss wanting to go.

What people and the passage of time seem to forget is that for the most part it was just a couple of hundred (e.g.) Bury fans standing in the rain while we all watched a pretty dire 1-1 tie wishing we all back in the pub.

There were some hooligan highlights sure but it was definitely the exception rather the norm.

Never had a season ticket but been going since 1968. Bit of a traditionalist, football should be at 3 on Saturday.

I did 2017/18 to 2020/21 I think and maybe 2013 to 2015 before that. So only 3/4 seasons unbroken... about 6 or 7 total as a STH

Went to my first game in 1958 with my father , regularly since 1966, season ticket holder since 1970 . Now have 6 season tickets with my 2 sons , 3 grandsons in 1871 a true royals family !
