Yes but this was on basis of no funding

In practical terms for the running of the club it does seem to have been sorted by about then.

Couhig and co are already essentially running and funding the club it seems. And obviously the sale of Azeez is part of that. Plus Sky's interest will be helping.

Without that commitment to a deal that's not fully signed off yet, I'm not convinced we would have started the season, at least with any hope of finishing it.
