Nice one.Stranded wrote:Vale have just announced that, as a thank you for the support Reading fans gave to help fund the John Rudge statue, all tickets for the match there in February will cost just a tenner, with all kids going for free,
Nice touch.
What a great gesture. Hopefully we reciprocate with some sort of offer for travelling Vale fans as well. £10 might be too much of a financial hit for us to take, but a discounted price would be good. They absolutely didn't have to do that.Sutekh wrote:https://www.port-vale.co.uk/news/vale-offer-discounted-tickets-reading-clash
So that's what he's doing now...Speaking about the news, Chief Executive Matt Hancock said: "We're really pleased to be able to confirm this ticket offer in plenty of time, ahead of the start of our League One season.
It was great in there last year.Whore Jackie wrote:What a superb gesture. Port Vale's a bit of an underrated away day. Nice ground and the Bulls Head is a cracking Titanic pub.
It’s a good-will gesture which will also be enjoyed by the home fans.PieEater wrote:It was great in there last year.Whore Jackie wrote:What a superb gesture. Port Vale's a bit of an underrated away day. Nice ground and the Bulls Head is a cracking Titanic pub.
I'm not sure Port Vale have got this right, we contributed to their statue as the match was abandoned and their fans made the expensive trip for nothing (and then lost the reschuled match). They owe us nothing.
i did chip in a tenner, but their away support would have each spent a whole lot more than that.

Three blocks out of maximum six, but I think its hard to police effectively at 4 or 5 blocks.RG30 wrote:It is an initial allocation for a stand that holds 3k-4k so can understand. Even the pricing I don't think we sell out the entire away end.
Would sir care for a side with those words?Zammo wrote:Never gonna sell out, even at a tenner a pop. IN!
