Why Hammers fans are associated with such a relaxing pastime as blowing bubbles is beyond us, seeing as they've lost four cup ties on penalties since 1998, including last season's FA Cup Final defeat to Liverpool. Doesn't get much more stressful than that. The Hammers faithful must also hate playing London sides in cup games - on seven occasions between January 1998 and October 2004 they lost to rivals from the capital. They also lost to Crystal Palace in a Division One play-off final in 2004.
Oh yes and they`ve just been hammered by cute little Reading from down the m4 ho ho ho and chortle.That must put them up a few more notches.

Bristol City should be worse to follow than us. Lets have a think about it, Bristol had a rotten start to last season that had their fans booing them off the pitch. Um, Reading, only lost 2 games last season, 1 home, 1 away, 2 promotions in 5 seasons, Premiership top half that had Lawro proof what a great pundit he is

, and having beaten the team that got to the FA Cup Final last year 6-0

Yeovil - regular appearances at the top end of the table, 2 promotions in 5 years, decent cup runs, consistant success and surpassing of expectations?

Can't understand why Brizzle City are so high, they have an almost unsurpassed record of bottling it, all those seasons of being the bookies favourites, only to oxf*rd it up at the sharp end of the season, relegation fodder early on last season and seeing as this poll seems to be based over the last 10-15 years, they were utter garbage between 1993 and 1997 with 2 relagtions IIRC.

I guess its because whilst they fail to capitalise on early season promise, they don't have much to play for come the end of the season so its not too stressful.

But there's nothing more stressful than being in a strong position year after year, only to balls it up in the last month though. The two most stressful seasons we've had in the last 10 have been 2000-1 and 2001-2 We should have walked automatic in either season but bottled it in 2000-1 and nearly bottled it in 2001-2 by failing to turn just one of those 9 draws into a win. We did stupid thing like conceding late equalisers against team in the bottom 6. Brentford was great and an icionic moment but it should have never come to that.

Don't mention Reading or penalty shoot-outs to Bees supporters. Both have caused Brentford fans heartache in recent seasons. In the last game of the 2001-02 season, Brentford needed to beat Reading to leapfrog them into second place and claim automatic promotion to Division One. With 13 minutes to go, the Bees led 1-0 and Griffin Park held its collective breath. Then Jamie Cureton equalised for Reading and Brentford had to settle for the play-offs, eventually losing 2-0 in the final to Stoke. They made the play-offs again in 2005 and 2006, but lost in the semi-finals on both occasions. Since 1991, Brentford have been promoted twice, relegated twice and had six appearances in play-offs (losing in two finals). And the penalty shoot-outs? Since May 1995, Brentford have been involved in seven shoot-outs, losing four and winning three. In that period they also lost three cup ties in extra time. Ouch.

I'm amazed by that. There is much angst in Lincolnshire about the way Boston achieved promotion, financial irregularities, Steve Evans and his chairman being prosecuted, Gazza, and the club (despite a recent upturn in results) is in a desperate state financially.
