Disruption during stadium expansion

Whilst I think most supporters are in favour of the stadium expansion, there will inevitably be some disruption to supporters if construction takes place during the season and possibly some existing seating will be removed.

Have STAR received any information from RFC about how this would be handled?

If seats that are removed as a result of the changes, it would be good to get STAR support to ensure the new seating is allocated fairly. I notice on the plans there appears to be a new open area between Y22 and Y24 that is where existing seating is (about row X to CC), where will all these people go?

A certain amount of information, so far, but as plans are still being made nothing is for certain yet.

As I understand it, next season, all of the building work will take place at the back of the East Stand - i.e. the new stand extension will be built up behind the existing East stand, and the back wall of the existing stand will stay intact and stay in place.

So during the season there shouldn't be disruption inside the stand - the only disruption will be outside it and in particular getting in and out of the stand - I belive the current "pavement" will become smaller and will have a building site bebind and potentially over it.

I understand that the joining of the old and new stands and all roof works will happen after the end of next season, so I hope there won't be disruption inside.

The open area you talk of will be properly thought-out disabled areas (i.e. raised for wheelchairs to preserve sightlines) - no talk yet of where people who are moved will go to, but I'd certainly hope that they'll get offered first choice on where to relocate to.

How about restarting row numbers from the first row after the missing rows back in those blocks, so rather than a massive move for a 100 people, say 400 move 3 rows back? (and yes I think I am affected by this new area)

So, if I'm at in Row KK right at the back of the East Stand, should i be worried?

It looks to me like rows Y to DD seats 120-160 will be affected. i.e 200 people.

Why can't they fix the existing set up, if necessary taking a row of helper seats out rather than move 200 people?

I also note that the number of disabled parking spaces is being reduced, so presumably there will be fewer places available even after all this?

Correct - so those displaced fans will, presumably, have the first choice of all other vacanct seats - i.e. the extension and any others seats not renewed.

Don't know -I hope they're doing both, actually, and bringing the exsiting disabled areas up to spec as well as adding the new ones.

IIRC (the doc has gone) the planning application had something like 40 fewer disabled parking spaces after the extension.
