Robinson is an absolutely terrible goalkeeper who has ALWAYS no matter what team he's in let in a lot of goals. Is it just coincidence? No, he's just not very good.

Apparently not. Carson is returning to Liverpool after the loan as Villa do not feel the keeper is worth the reported £9m it would take to sign him, and they're right!

Robinson isn't that bad, but he's certainly no better option than Marcus when you factor in cost and wages. In fact he's a hell of a lot worse in that case.

I reckon for a big name obvious improvement we'd cough up maybe £35k/week

Robinson is one of those keepers who has made a career out of playing behind rubbish defences (teams) so has always had many shots to save in every game he has played.

If he saves most then people think he is great and do not bother to analysis the 2 he did let in.

If they did they would realise that they were due to poor positioning / movement / handling etc etc but because he made a lot of other stops (that any 16 YTS lad would have made given the chance) people still say he is good

There is a reason that all keepers like these 2 never play at a "top top" (Thanks Jamie ) club - it is that they cannot be relied on to actually make the one important save.

Make the £60k performance related and he probably won't break our weekly wage cap.
