I'd hazard a guess that he's destined to be the next big thing from Old Trafford to spend the rest of his career in the bottom half of the Championship trying to live up to the ex-Man Utd hype.

If a decent right winger is available and is in our price range he must of been considered at very least.Stranded wrote:Coppell's Right Footed 11 wrote:Another right winger we appear to have missed out on.

Were we in for him then?
That of course assumes that he is considered decent by those who make the decisions, rather than just your good self. If he is that good I would suggest we'd have heard more about clubs racing for his signature rather than just comments on a Burnley message board.Coppell's Right Footed 11 wrote:If a decent right winger is available and is in our price range he must of been considered at very least.Stranded wrote:Coppell's Right Footed 11 wrote:Another right winger we appear to have missed out on.

Any ideas on who that other club is? Perhaps it could be us.?Coppell's Right Footed 11 wrote:From ManUtds Official Site:
Burnley manager Owen Coyle claims his side are in negotiations with Chris Eagles over a potential transfer to Turf Moor.
The 22-year-old winger has found senior opportunities limited since making his debut in October 2003, and hasn't made a first team appearance since last December.
Tabloid rumours have suggested that a host of Championship clubs are monitoring his situation, and Clarets boss Coyle admits his side face competition if they are to seal a deal for Eagles.
"It’s a bit complicated, in that there is another club interested in him, but he has real quality," Coyle told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
"We had a terrific meeting with him and his representative, obviously with permission from his club, because there would be a big fee involved in that."
