QPR ticket entry policy

Any chance someone could look into this, I'm sure there will be some excuse about crowd control but can this really be enforced legally?

I would have thought it can be enforced legally. Their conditions are clear before the ticket has been purchased, same as saying "No sharp items allowed".

It's over-the-top and a bit unnecessary, but it is not illegal.

Why are QPR the only club imposing conditions like this?
What if it's not convenient for someone who's already bought a ticket?
Just how rigorously will this be enforced - what happens if someone gets delayed en route and arrives at the gate, ticket in hand, at 14.31?
What if everyone turns up at 14.209 and the majority are still queueing to get in after half-past?
Why are they doing this - are there genuine safety/crowd control reasons, or do they just want to increase the bar takings inside the stadium?

Knowledge is power, so it's important that supporters are given the reasoning behind this policy - one which is, I think, unique to QPR but which might set a precedent which other clubs will follow.

For too long supporters have meekly followed instructions on the premise that "the club/the stewards/the police know best". Why aren't we allowed to question that assumption and decide for ourselves - after all, we're the ones paying a significant sum.

The problem with that is then we will then be more dependent on what the broadcasters want to show us. It will also play directly into the hands of those who are determined to continue to exclude the match going fan from football (e.g. the pro Game 39 lobby). We need to challenge unjust rules, laws and treatment.

I'm told this is all about the rate of entry to the ground - QPR only have 4 turnstiles at the away end to get visiting supports through, and (for some clubs at least) they insist on searching everyone as well, which slows up the entry process.

So if you leave it for the last 15 minutes you're likely to miss kick off - QPR have received a lot of complaints because of this, and so they now issue a warning to arrive early.

It is a relatively small entrance way at QPR but no worse than say Crystal Palace or other old grounds of similar size. I smell a trumped up police excuse to search and alcohol assess every person coming in. We shall see, I certainly don't intend arriving 30 mins before the game

great, so can we get rfc to update our website along the lines of :

"QPR would like to inform Reading supporters that there are only 4 turnstyles at the away end and it can take some timefor everyone to obtain access to the ground. Therefore QPR recommends that supporters arrive at the ground at least 30 minutes before kick off in order to ensure access"

as for security at loftus road, wass it not the home fans that brought a gun into the ground?

Went to Chelsea few years ago and the ticket read "please take your seat 30 minutes prior to kick off"
