Do RFC have a car park policy to hold cars back that they can enforce every game to allow to fans leave the Mad Stad whether there be 5,500 fans or 16,000 + in attendance?

It appears that they don't as car were allowed to move freely in / out last night at the end of the game.

Can i add that at the top of the B&Q slope, Hoops way they had coned off one lane, and only allowed the cars to use the other, oddly they decided it was safer to let the cars use the lane next to the pedestrian path, rather than the lane alongside the car park.

Can Star please talk to the club about holding all cars back in the car parks after the game please (No movement ) until all the fans have left as it is bad enough having to walk all the way round the ground from the east stand to exit the stadium complex on foot but having done this the road is contiunally blocked by cars who have left early at the South West corner of the ground by where the visiting team coach parks.

It is time that the cars were not allowed onto the roads around the stadium, until they are allowed to leave. Keep them in the car park, and if needed lock the barriers with 5 mins of the match to go. that would allow any that wanted to leave with ten mins to go to do so.

Though personally I would lose all the parking in front of the megastore, and around the east stand, show that they really want to give pedestrians priority, for safety and convenience. This might disadvantage a few disabled, which would be a shame, however if they only allowed cars to enter and exit the car parks from the top of the slopes that would free the road in front of the ground as well, why do they mix cars and pedestrians pre match like they do? IMHO it is not necessary and can easily be avoided.

I doubt that they have to provide parking adjacent to the stands, many disabled use the main car park, there are ways and means around all problems, if the club looked they could solve the cars situation.

Swings and roundabouts. If you want the comfort of parking next to the stadium you have to lose the ease in which you are allowed to get away....

I think that one of us is missing the point. I believe that it would be a breach of the Disability Discrimination Act for the club to disadvantage people with disabilities.

I do not believe that people with disabilities under the act would have to be at a disadvantage, it would be possible for the club to ensure that they were able to attend, with no disadvantage. I do of course mean that the club would still have disabled parking, just not at the same place as it is now.

As it happens, I did raise this with the club at the Senior Management meeting last week, since I noticed at the Leicester game that the car park barriers weren't being closed off quickly enough when the final whistle went. I did raise this with the kid on the barrier but he was clearly not empowered to think for himself.

The same situation also happened after the Ipswich game, though, so it's obvious to me that the people in the control room aren't giving the order to close the car park barriers quickley enough when the match is over.

I'll get back to the club about this issue, and if required I'll raise it at the next meeting of the Safety Advisary Group.

It was your suggestion to cause disabled people to be disadvantaged. Make up your mind please.
