Indeed, but terrible defending to let him stroll in like that. If he can stay injury free he could get a chance next season. He looked very good against QPR last week as well.paultheroyal wrote:Decent goal that

04 Dec 2013 14:33The Aberdeen bossman said this will only happen in Hector signs a new deal with us first as his current one is due up in the summer (worryingly)maffff wrote:Hector has told Charles Watts's he wants to achieve his aims with us. Would be happy to come back in January, but wants first team assurances. Can see him staying at Aberdeen until the end of the season personally.

04 Dec 2013 14:38Because he's an excellent young defender who's attracting plenty of interest and we may struggle to keep hold of him without first team assurances, assurances which we probably aren't in a position to make.BR2 wrote:Why "worryingly"?winchester_royal wrote:The Aberdeen bossman said this will only happen in Hector signs a new deal with us first as his current one is due up in the summer (worryingly)maffff wrote:Hector has told Charles Watts's he wants to achieve his aims with us. 05 Dec 2013 11:26He's in talks about a new contract at the moment, wants to achieve his goals here and doesn't seem to be particularly enjoying how far away Aberdeen is (although he is enjoying the first team football and does seem to like the club/have settled in with the team). I doubt if he can't agree a new deal (unlikely) he'll end up outside of England.ZacNaloen wrote:Hector is in a good bargaining position, Aberdeen will probably take him full time if he runs his contract down, but I imagine we'll only extend the loan if he signs a new contract...

05 Dec 2013 11:29I've not managed to get along to any of the youth games so far this year (living outside of Reading/work meaning I can't do evenings). From the little I've seen so far it doesn't sound like we're doing quite as well as last season, yet, esp. with the u18s?winchester_royal wrote:Yep, hopefully we'll progress a little further in it this year than we have done in the last couple. When you add in the senior scholars (Kuhl, Kelly, Fosu, Stacey) that have been turning out for the U21's along with the guys who've been doing pretty well in the League this season we should have a pretty decent team.

05 Dec 2013 11:39They're doing okay. Midtable, have won more than they've lost (just). If you look at the side it's often full of first year scholars with the likes of Kuhl and Fosu being kept fresh for the U21's so it's not been a write-off season by any means.maffff wrote:I've not managed to get along to any of the youth games so far this year (living outside of Reading/work meaning I can't do evenings). 05 Dec 2013 12:34My feeling is that our failure to sign any central defensive cover is becuase of Hector's progress in Scotland. I wouldn't be surprised to see him stay with us after January...maffff wrote:He's in talks about a new contract at the moment, wants to achieve his goals here and doesn't seem to be particularly enjoying how far away Aberdeen is (although he is enjoying the first team football and does seem to like the club/have settled in with the team).
