Supporters Player of the Season

Voting for the official supporters Player of the Season (ie the thing that started way back in 1964 or so) starts tomorrow.

Voting cards will be available - given out by STAR personnel - at the turnstiles before the game.

We could do with a few more people to help giving out the cards please. Contact info@star-reading.org or simply turn up outside the Megastore about 12.30pm or soon after.

The repartee you get back from fans when you hand them the cards is priceless and reward in itself!

It's player of the season, the whole season, so despite going off the boil recently, Norwood should be a contender, probably Al Habsi and HRK too.

I know our season is effectively over, but there are still 10 games to go aren't there? Isn't this rather premature?

I did say voting started!

It is early, true. That's because we want the award presented at the last home game on 30 April. Two of the three home games before that are midweek - midweek games are not a good time to do this because fans are rushing in. And people complain if they don't get more than one Saturday match day chance.

Is Paolo Hurtado someone volunteering to hand out the cards? Can't see anyone else mentioned in this thread as a potential volunteer.
