Liam Moore to Brighton

Interest from Brighton for Liam Moore. Apparently they’ve put a bid in. Wouldn’t search transfer news sites for it, they’ll be 40+ pages on NSC within the hour.

Tomer Hemed as part of the deal perhaps? Moore with 3 years left on his contract, will be interesting to see where this ends.

It certainly means we are in a strong position to maximise the transfer fee. He is a good centre half but is replaceable.

Fine - if it Happens then fair play to the lad, he’s earned his move

Brighton would make sense for him tbf. Let’s just make sure we get a good fee for him

Whatever he says about Brighton is almost a fact. He’s as reliable a reporter can get https://twitter.com/andynaylorargus/sta ... 30432?s=21

Tbf he kept us in the champ last season, we will need a very gd replacement if it happens. How gd is this Pompey lad we are linked to?

Clarke will be a good replacement, tall, commanding, great on the ball. Not as quick as Moore but would certainly do a good job.

Agree he is probably replaceable.

What is the reported/alleged fee though?

Or, what would be the fee that we would think is reasonable and be happy with?

Will be undisclosed wherever he goes.

It will be undisclosed although doubtless something will come out in the press about what’s been paid

It’s interesting cos the Brighton CB’s were pretty good this year...unless they are being poached(?) Not sure if Moore is a PL player, but we’ll see...

TBM £3m fee agreed

If that's true that is utterly pathetic.

But at least Moore is replaceable (like most players at most clubs) and despite being clearly a quality player he looked as bad as the rest of them for a good few months last season so on that form I suppose £3m is good money :?

I expect a move for Elphick will happen now, esp. if Villa go up.

Seriously? If true then Brighton have picked up a massive bargain. I would have expected a fee of at least £7 million.

If 3M is true (and a bit on the low side) it's surprising
as surely there is no rush, and we have reasonable
clout with Moore's long contract.

Unless it's tied to a swap to bring in a striker, I don't get the rush.

Would Elphick be a free?
