Likewise but it says a number of Championship sides are interested.Hendo wrote:Would be very happy with this.

My opinion has not changed.Hendo wrote:Would be very happy with this.
Would be good to get him in here early doors. Suppose that can be said of any player, but I think esp so in his case.Sutekh wrote:Reportedly Reading would be Ovie's preferred destination

Yep. The least impressive of the five loanees but just maybe the one with the most potential. Would be great to have him back.Denver Royal wrote:Would be good to get him in here early doors. It was said he was the least impressive of the 5 loanees (but the most most re-signable?). I can see that, but at 21 he was also the youngest by about 3 years.
After a full off season/camps/preseason, etc, here under Gomes...and then a full season here, rather than 4 months...and a set and consistent playing role/position...I could see him having a fair amount of upside.
He's also very very shy / introverted by a few accounts. Started to come out of his shell as the season ended. Give him a season in the right environment he could thrive.Denver Royal wrote:Would be good to get him in here early doors. Heh, I’d take him on loan again, but will admit to not really knowing what is/will be his best position.Snowflake Royal wrote:I'd take Ovie in and Swift out for net cash any day.
Swift has a bit more creative range of passing, and the odd sweet fk but he's about as hit and miss, older and Ejaria is far superior carrying the ball forward.
Add Olise, Loader and maybe Barrett as competition and we're good. He can also cover wide or deeper midfield at a push in an emergency. Have both and it feels a little overstocked.
