Well I wouldn't go, but I'm sure plenty will. It's not compulsory. And there are plenty of shirt signings etc for kids to get to meet the players, so this isn't the only way.South Coast Royal wrote:Love the "just" £90 for a 3 course meal and probably a cheap glass of wine that would normally cost no more than £30 in total.
So having paid to watch the game you are then paying a charge of around £60 for the privilege of meeting players who we have paid this season for their work.
Not sure that this is the club reaching out to the fans.
Tickets were sold on first come first served basis and available to everyone.Zammo wrote:Good way for fans to meet their heroes (small lol). They should have done something similar for the recent Steve Coppell night, which ended up being a 'jobs for the boys' event rather being opened up to real Reading fans.

I thought I kept abreast of most goings on but didn't see anything. May be I missed it, and not meant as a criticism but would be nice to know if there is a widespread comms outlet I'm not subscribed to ...

Its a club doing what it can to try to increase levels of income and take us further away from any nasty FFP consequences. Grumbling about it seems to me a bit like grumbling that they sell hospitality packages on a match day, which also give people the chance to meet with one or two players.South Coast Royal wrote:Love the "just" £90 for a 3 course meal and probably a cheap glass of wine that would normally cost no more than £30 in total.
