We lost 3-2, but it was a cracking game by all accounts - we matched Bath right to the end, and they needed their keeper to pull of a worldie save at 90+4 mins that would have taken us level. Gutted, esp as we were 2-1 up for half an hour. Good to see we can handle a team two leagues above us, but I'm worried we'll be tired and mentally bruised before our crucial league game on Tuesday against AFC Totton.mx wrote:Shame we can't go to this, but it would have been an expensive day out in the fine pubs of Bath.Four Of Clubs wrote:Saturday 3rd October – weather forecast is grim – so expect a few ‘washouts’
FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round [BEHIND CLOSED DOORS at ELITE Club STEP02 Ground ; * = ELITE Club]
76 Bath City* (6S) v Winchester City (8SS)
Still, it's being live streamed, and I have a box of Sherfield Village Brewery's stonking 6.3% IPA to work through.
Not sure how the game will go - the expected shite weather should be a leveller, and Bath haven't played a competitive fixture yet, so it may be closer than you would expect.
I was wrong. Basingstoke are playing a home game at Winchester on Tuesday night v. Sholing.mx wrote:Ex-tenants - they'll be back in B'stoke this season, I believe. The Hampshire FA ground seems to be nearly ready for them.paultheroyal wrote:With your tenants right behind youmx wrote:

Agree with that, not even the “glamour” of someone at step 2, or someone from an entirely different league set up, just a trip to north London to play about as good as you can currently get in the Isthmian Premier (Haringey are currently equal top with 3 other sides) - still at least fans can go I suppose. Mind you I suspect Bracknell will raise their game being the ones with nothing to lose and they’ve had a bit of penalty practice!Old Man Andrews wrote:Crap draw for Bracknell. Really wanted them to get to the 1st round this season.
Bl**dy hell. Did you stay up there, or wheel-spin out the car park and race towards the home counties ?Tony Le Mesmer wrote:Working in the North West.
Took in Cammell Laird 1-0 Barnton in the North West Counties League Division 1 South. 89th min penalty settling matters in a match played at the tempo of an Old Firm derby.
Situated right by the Mersey near Birkenhead. 2 sides surrounded by heavily padlocked corrugated Iron. 1 side council housing. 1 side Bus Depot. The club shop is a shipping container (closed).
Dodgy Street Parking only. I went back to my car at HT to check it was still there.
You get the general picture.
He would have but there were no wheels left on his car.Zammo wrote:Bl**dy hell. Did you stay up there, or wheel-spin out the car park and race towards the home counties ?Tony Le Mesmer wrote:Working in the North West.

Yeah was a fine win! Could defintiely go up this season which will mean finding a new stadium to play in. Wondering if Slough will be an option until they sort a new ground out a bit more local to Bracknell.Ark Royal wrote:Great 2-1 win for Bracknell at Chertsey last night in front of 400.
