No transfer fee but £25k a week might be a problem. wouldn`t call that cheap.Pepe the Horseman wrote:Terrible shout from Courtney Friday suggesting we could be in for him as a cheap option.
He was apparently on £80k a week at Swansea. He won’t get close to that now but would be looking at £25k a week minimum. Not for us. No point in releasing the likes of Aluko and Baldock on big wages to bring in players on even bigger wages. It has to go the other way.windermereROYAL wrote:No transfer fee but £25k a week might be a problem. wouldn`t call that cheap.Pepe the Horseman wrote:Terrible shout from Courtney Friday suggesting we could be in for him as a cheap option.
Would think he'll be snapped up by a lower PL side or Champ one with parachute payments, else go abroad.Zip wrote:He was apparently on £80k a week at Swansea. Courtney is such a tool. He is now in no man's land. His contacts for Reading FC were Gunter and Mccleary and now he is exposed for what he is i.e. fraud.Pepe the Horseman wrote:Terrible shout from Courtney Friday suggesting we could be in for him as a cheap option.

Does this suggest that all the other clubs under soft embargo need not fear any other sanction?morganb wrote:https://www.efl.com/news/2021/june/-derby-county/#maincontent
No decision made about Derby yet so they are publishing an interchangeable fixture list today in case Wycombe are reinstated in the Championship.
I think Derby are accused of a bit more than slightly over spending aren’t they ?Norfolk Royal wrote:Does this suggest that all the other clubs under soft embargo need not fear any other sanction?morganb wrote:https://www.efl.com/news/2021/june/-derby-county/#maincontent

Yep and for which Derby really should be heavily punished. I can’t see what Derby can do if the points deduction is applied in the next few weeks. They won’t have time to go through the Courts to challenge the decision. From Despair To Where? wrote:It would certainly raise a giggle or two.
Say what you like about our owners but they haven't grossly misrepresented the value of assets and they haven't lied on the accounts.
