Heard we turned down a big offer for Knibbs in the last few days, which if true suggests that *something is going on behind the scenes.

The club I was referring to is from the lower half of the PL, not the EFL.

Ipswich planning their return to the Champ then I would guess but the identity doesn't matter. If true, and WHTG is normally pretty good, it shows that someone at the club is either actively trying to hang on to the players or at least playing a little bit of hardball to get as much cash as possible.

Yeah, Knibbs to PL sounds bonkers to me.

He's a real grafter, so full of work and running but doesn't look to me to be a high enough quality technique guy for upper Champ let alone PL.

Then again I've just described Stephen Hunt haven't I.

Knibbs grafts and has an uncanny knack of getting into the right place in the box to get a chance - that can take you a long way.

Thomas Müller made a stellar career from doing just that (not comparing Knibbs to Müller by the way).

Palace could be a good move for Bindon - they seem to want to sign younger players and do really well developing them. We'd potentially be able to get him back on loan until the end of the season too (EFL depending).

He's probably maximum value out of our squad. Relatively young still, time left on contract and unlike Savage and Elliott he has no sell on.

Would be a big miss though. We've got options in midfield but his workrate and energy is unparalleled and important to how we play, not to mention his goal return.

He'll be a loss. But with the right backs on their way back, Craig can step into midfield which will help. Wings look fragile, but with Campbell rejoining and KelvinE coming back soonish hopefullly that.could be worse. Akande too. Camara (though injured) starting to deliver.
