Deals can be concluded later than 7pm so long as the FL receive relevant paperwork before 7pm.Pepe the Horseman wrote:Not the type to make stuff up either. Kyreece Lisbie wanted to come to Reading ahead of many interested clubs.

20 year old winger. Not played a lot really so not expecting him to feature a great deal tbhFrom Despair To Where? wrote:Kadan Young on loan from Aston Villa
Think you might be wrong there Hound, he played in Villa’s 3-2 win over Salzburg last week and set up the winner. Apparently highly rated by Dick, their manager. He’s right sided.Hound wrote:20 year old winger. Not played a lot really so not expecting him to feature a great deal tbhFrom Despair To Where? wrote:Kadan Young on loan from Aston Villa
I hope I am. Seems to have the right attributes but just very little experience. I guess if DK is out for a while then he should get some game time thereSutekh wrote:Think you might be wrong there Hound, he played in Villa’s 3-2 win over Salzburg last week and set up the winner. Now the obvious question is why wait to the last day when no one will have time to sort something like that out![]()
Hope Reading will go back for him in the summer.

03 Feb 2026 12:28Hard to say re support from above really - I believe we signed 3 players for fees in the summer (Lane, Ritchie & Marriott) and 2 in this window. Hunt would have had input into some of the poor loans such as O'Mahony and Jacob and also the poor contracts offered to Wareham & Craig would at least be partly down to his views on them.Sutekh wrote:Or possibly Noel didn’t really push his case or the players weren’t available for deals to be done.Pepe the Horseman wrote:Yeh, either the money wasn't there at the time, while they waited for more investors. What about the scouting network here, it's as much their failings as anything. Mr Carey should have done better. I can see the young players being those who impressed Noel when he was managing the U21s but they just haven't really taken their opportunity and stepped like I would presume he hoped. Do not understand the Jacob signing at all, supposedly a left back from a higher level but looked as lost as the youngsters brought in then got injured. All this might be more to do with management and playing style issues than the individuals but even so MOM and Doyle haven't really progressed under Leam while Burns does seem to have kicked on better.Mid Sussex Royal wrote:Hard to say re support from above really - I believe we signed 3 players for fees in the summer (Lane, Ritchie & Marriott) and 2 in this window. I think its likely the better quality of signings this window is at least partly down to Leam having more contacts/bigger network than Hunt did.
