I'm including caretakers/interims/whatevs so get what you're saying. I'd do the same for Utd (we've got to be double figures since Fergie by now)

With Ekitike injured after 5 minutes plus Salah and Isak being out injured already Liverpool's task was made quite difficult.
On the balance of play a draw might have been a fair result.
With Chelsea losing there are still very important places to play for in the coming weeks for all the teams down to Fulham.

Nah...3-1 was much more likely than 2-2

What are you doing watching Liverpool's matches in full?
Have you nothing better to do on a Saturday ?

Probably was looking for a good sitcom and couldn’t find one so loSt’s Liverpool, away from home, is as good as anything.

come on SCR Liverpool are an absolute shadow of the team under Klopp. For all that money spent and recent success it's an absolute shitshow.

Have to say I'm amazed with Xabi Alonso out of work, that Arne Slot is managing to cling on.

Agree with Leon. The flair has been coached out of these players. Must have been maddening being at the game at the weekend and watching Slot replace an injured Ekitike with Curtis Jones. Why not bring Ngumoha on?

Not disagreeing with that-I was just asking Brobot,, who normally hates watching Liverpool and in the past refused to watch their games, why now is he watching them.

That really was a surprise as he could have moved Gapko to central striker (where he has played before) and the balance of the line-up would have been maintained.
Curtis Jones then almost first touch goes square with his pass to give away a throw-in that led to the keeper getting the ball and playing it far too hard to Konate which then led to the goal.
Konate gets blamed for not controlling a pass that was too hard.

I have developed this dislike for Jones and noted his usual chickening out of challenges, especially headers and being easily dispossessed-he really doesn't possess the physical strength needed for the competitive area of midfield nor as a full back.
I did read the other day that as a younger player he was always a forward and this shows now when playing in an area that he may well be unsuited for.

With Chelsea and Man Utd dropping points over the weekend Liverpool are still very much in the hunt for a Champs League spot despite so often being nowhere near the level of last season.
It sounds as though Alonso could well be the man in charge next season.

Salah to leave at the end of the season. They were so happy that he signed that contract, and now he's out of there a year later.

Going on a free transfer when 2 years ago they could have taken £200m for him.

Considering he had already shown clear signs that he was getting ready to fall off a cliff he was surprisingly good last season but since then, yes, he’s shown himself to be a disruptive, selfish and petulant twat.

How Trent gets so much hate from Liverpool fans and he gets off scot free I will never understand.

Trent deliberately wound down his contract to secure a chunky signing-on fee whilst learning Spanish in his spare time.

I don't understand why Liverpool wouldn't try to secure a fee for Salah - surely a Saudi team would have paid £30 for him this summer?

Giving him a new deal made sense last summer - was his best season for Liverpool since his very first, but it's not worked out, and clearly the relationship with Slot has dissolved.

I'd assumed it was part of the deal he signed to stay in the 1st place - i.e that he could go for nothing.

I know they won the PL last year and Salah played a significant part in that but forgoing £200m+ sales proceeds, then paying huge wages to a player who caused such disruption and so badly undermined the manager in public has to be one of the worst bits of business they've ever done.

He's one of the best players in PL history. Liverpool were never going to 'cash in' - not least since, apparently, they had the funds to buy Ekitike and Wirtz, as well as offer him a new deal. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
