It depends upon how stretched their squad has been through injuries.
I am no expert on all things QPR but they have shipped more goals than any other side in Div 1,other than the pointless and doomed Sheffield Wednesday this season.

I do trust my mate's judgement on QPR matters over and above any of our fans on here.
A focus group of one. Your mate could hate him and the other 16,839 QPR fans could love him.
My QPR mate loves him, his enthusiasm and his effort
My mate's bigger than your mate, etc.,etc,
Opinions eh, who would have them?

So , has Dorsett with almost as many starts for us this season cemented a place?
Absolutely. We brought someone in on a season long loan from Hull in the summer, and Dorsett saw the useless bastard off inside 6 months, and claimed the LB position as his own.
You have noticed that Ward, Williams and Roberts have played there?
Well, aware thank you.

Just as we're well aware Williams (R) has predominantly played wing. Roberts has played roughly half and half wing, and Ward similarly CB. So none are clearly a preferred choice LB.

Given we both answered your previous post the exact same way around the same time, it clearly applied to me too.

Always happy to enlighten you.

It's not an opinion I'll consider very valid given it comes alongside saying a player with 31 starts before the season is over hasn't cemented a first team place.
So , has Dorsett with almost as many starts for us this season cemented a place?

Tbh the absolute shit show saw himself off with a series of horrendous performances.

Ian said yesterday that we should be replacing Dorsett at LB for the summer so I’m not sure what his definition of cement is. However he shouldn’t be considering a career change to building inspecting anytime soon.

Cemented a first team position =/= good enough for next season where we hope to out perform this season. Continuous improvement and all that.

It's not hard Leon. I'm sure you'd grasp it if someone else had said it.

now it all makes sense. Cemented his place in the team means due for replacement during the summer. Yes of course Ian.

Let me spell it out for you in incredibly simple terms.

My (any of our) opinion on his value to the team in the future, has zero bearing on whether he is currently firm first choice LB.

He has started the vast majority of games. He clearly is a first choice left back who has currently, not ten years ago, not next season, not 5 years from now, currently cemented a first team place.

If you weren't so desperate to have a pop you would be able to work it out.

Let Collins Dictionary spell in incredibly simple terms

"The expression "cemented your place" means to firmly establish or secure a position or role. It implies that someone has made their influence or identity stronger and more permanent, similar to how cement solidifies materials together. This phrase is often used in contexts where someone is taking steps to solidify their authority or reputation within a team or organization."

or Cambridge Dictionary

"cement verb [T] (MAKE STRONGER)

to make something such as an agreement or friendship stronger:
The university's exchange scheme has cemented its links with many other academic institutions"

You know it's OK to admit you're wrong once in a while?

FYI, if I'm actually wrong, I acknowledge it. See my reply to Mr Cynical, page 22 Richardson Out, TB.

If only you could learn from my example.

I didn't search, but there are loads of examples, that was just a timely one.

So let me get this straight…

When I criticise Paddy Lane, you jump in saying it could affect him and basically try to shut it down. But when you’ve been laying into Dorsett, that’s apparently fine and doesn’t count?

You can’t have it both ways. Either fans are allowed to criticise players, or they’re not. You don’t get to pick and choose depending on whether it suits your argument that day.

And the bigger issue is you never seem to acknowledge that. It’s always everyone else that’s wrong, never you. That’s why people are calling it out, not because they’ve got an agenda, but because the double standard is obvious.
