FIFA floating the idea that they are looking to potentially approve each domestic league being able to have 1 top flight game played in another country, and each country also can host up to 5 games from other countries leagues

It's the beginning of the end - was always going to happen. Money will supersede absolutely everything in football as it already does in many other ways.

It;'s the wet dream of broadcasters and betting companies to be able to use timezones to have a whole weekend full of back-to-back matches, so this will undoubtedly happen at some stage in the future.

6am - 3pm kick-off in Sydney
8am - 3pm kick-off in Beijing
10am - 3.30 pm kick-of in Kolkata
12pm - 3pm kick-off in Dubai
2pm 4pm & 6pm - European matches
8pm - 3pm kick-off in Miami
10pm - 4pm kick-off in Chicago
Midnight - 4pm kick-off in LA

Not until it happens and then it will only die off if they don't make money out of it. Which they will.

It's a matter of time, it really is The super league thing was just one variation on the idea, which is basically to monetise the Premier League, to capitalise on the big 6 mainly, to sell tickets to the highest bidders, to turn it into an Americanised model, where basically tickets will be £250+ and regular fans will just be even less valued than they are now.

I like how the European Superleague idea, with 6 English clubs invited to join, was shot down in flames and the idea thrown in the bin......so UEFA just changed the Champions League to one big league table and allowed 6 English teams into it

In another bit of micromanaging stupidity, FIFA is proposing a rule that would require all clubs to field at least one homegrown under-20 or under-21 player on the pitch at all times during matches.

But if its nil nil neither team get a point. It might make teams go for it more in a boring nil niller. I like it! thinks its a great idea.
Out of interest, did Jimmy Bullard's contribution amount to anything more than fidgeting like a masturbating chimp whilst gurning like a village idiot?

That he's held up as some sort of "character" only goes to illustrate how depressingly witless footballers generally are.
