Apparently details are set to be announced sometime around the end of this week….

STAR have reported that if you renew before a date TBC in June then there will be no increase. You will also have the option to pay by instalments at no additional cost. After that date the prices will go up.

Sounds like no real change from previous seasons. Roll on the weekend and we can all get excited for the WC and new season.

The new football season will begin over the weekend of 7-10th August 2026 with the League Cup 1st Round while the actual league season itself will kick off a week later on the weekend 14-17th August.

For all the glory hunters, the PL starts over the weekend of 21-24 August.

Excited? Certainly won't look forward to another season like this one and as we've regressed from last season, can't see any reason why next year will be any better, especially with Richardson in charge.

I've had a look at the seat map and it appears we've sold 410 season tickets/One Royal subscriptions so far (not counting hospitality or disabled seats).

For context, my estimate was 8,810 in the same sections last season.

I know we typically start slowly with renewals, but that's quite something.

Didn't realise there's been a trend of lots of early sales, would of thought most existing S/T holders would hold on into June nearer the deadline. Obviously end of May there might be a surge (around payday for many). Probably the timing of the release hasn't helped.

So if you went for a normal season ticket one off payment do you get a chance to upgrade to an Elite level...etc ?

And how come if you go with the One Royal subscription you get the added benefits and entries into competitions...etc, I don't see this part of coughing up a large lump sum of cash in a one off

They're trying to get as many people onto the One Royal subscription, so the added benefits compared to a traditional season ticket are being viewed as incentives to get people to chose a monthly subscription rather than paying up front.

That's a good point about pay day. I imagine we'd see another decent speed up in sales then.

I think that latter point is what the club are trying to do: hope people forget to cancel.

They'll also be able to change the pricing of the subscription more easily too. A 'it's only gone up by £5 per month' sort of thing, you can afford that. With 5,000 subscribers (hypothetically), that would be an extra £300,000 in revenue per year for the club.

I just think linking season tickets to a subscription is very predatory. It will likely allow the club to get away with some underhand tactics to draw more money from people.
