Small town by population ever to be represented in the Bundesliga. Spiesen-Elversberg has a population of 13,000, which isn't much more populous than Tilehurst.

When Luis Castro took over at Levante at the end of 2025 they were 6 points adrift at the bottom. They also have the lowest budget in La Liga

If you ran a league table from his first game in charge until now, Levante would be 3rd.

They start the final day 3 places outside the relegation zone but could end up in it if they lose and other results go against them. Seems unlikely though.

If Harry Kane has any sort of World Cup, he must be a shoe-in for the Ballon D'Or. Is anyone close to him? Dembele surely can't nick it again - despite bizarrely getting the Ligue 1 player of the season award despite making just 22 appearances, and scoring 10 goals. Yamal excellent at title winning Barca, but enough to get past Kane? Anyone else? Rice if Arsenal do the double?

top 5 bookies favourites are apparently:

1. Dembele
2. Kane
3. Yamal
4. Kvaratskhelia
5. Olise

Not only has Dembele appeared in just 22 matches, but he only started 11 of them

And he's got 7 goals in 12 Champions League games, with 8 starts. So he's favourite after starting just 19 games this season, and scoring 19 goals total. Kane has 58 goals in 50 games for Bayern, including 14 in 13 in the Champions League. What on earth?

Eintracht Frankfurt fire Albert Riera after barely 3 months in chance due to a) missing out on European football b) his football being sh*t and c) the squad being quite vocal about hating the guy.

Next appointment will be key as to if Eintracht can move back toward challenging for CL football or, as seems slightly more likely at the moment, drop further toward relegation battles.

Ballon D'Or doesn't exactly have history in rewarding the correct player.

France announces a 3rd professional division.

Le Championnat National becomes Ligue 3 from next season. An 18 club competition, governed by the same authority as Ligue 1 & Ligue 2, will have promotion play offs, a 3rd team promoted up to Ligue 2, and a TV deal in place so revenues go up.

Final day of the season in Luxembourg today.

2nd place Atert Bissen at home to first place Differdange, with just 3 points separating them right now! :o

Winston Biscuit wrote: 11 May 2026 09:45 AC Milan could have all but wrapped up a Champions League spot in Serie A yesterday, but they lost at home to Atalanta and now there are 2 games left with themselves, Roma & Como all fighting for 4th place, with Juventus in 3rd also only 1 point ahead

Milan do have 2 easy fixtures remaining, but its Milan, and they love messing up
And so Milan mess up on the final day at home to lowly Cagliary, and drop from a Champions League spot to 6th

...... however - good to see 'Super Lecce' hang to their place again  - the 'Giallorossi' beat Genoa 1-0.
Cremonese just a point behind them at KO, managed to get thumped 1-4 at home by Fabregas's Como and are relegated - hosts somehow picked up three Red cards close to the 70' mark - incl. 2 from the subs bench - just prior to the visitors 3rd goal .... a pen.
P'raps Cesc gave his leather jacket another airing and they objected?! :?

The pen was ridiculous. The 3 reds were all for arguing it.

....hadn't noticed that the win and Milan's loss meant Como get a UCL spot too..

...and Jamie Vardy is with Cremonese - so no party there then?!

Deportivo back in the big time, having been down in the 3rd tier not long ago. They also have a rich owner, so maybe there are more good times ahead.

Zaragoza relegated down to the 3rd tier. What a shambles. Was listening to a thing last night where they said this might be the biggest club dropping to the third tier since the 1950's (can't remember who that was)

Atletico, pissed off at Barcelona & Fabrizio Romano, who they say are working together to unsettle Julian Alvarez, are pushing back by having a little fun of their own
