He’s been doing his coaching badges at Watford (my son was in their academy and TI would often take sessions as evidence for his qualification) so may be tempted if we can offer him a stepping stone into coaching?

Potentially, but wasn’t convinced by his attitude when he was here. Possibly he was just frustrated about things given our situation?

Would also want to avoid signing any older players now (tbh), unless we’re effectively signing them as player-coaches in a similar scenario as you suggest.
