Been to a few Former Players' events and heard both Coppell and McDermott a couple of times, and they're everything you'd expect. Went to the Selles one in October 2024 and he absolutely blew me away. Ady chucked him a couple of curveballs and he dealt with them perfectly. You could so see why the players' played for him in the manner they did, despite all the shit flying around at the time.

Word on the street is we're lining up Hoddle.

My street. And I'm the one spreading that word. But still.

Passes being mis-hit, poor ball control, shots ballooning over the bar, crosses flying straight over the entire pitch etc etc.

Although zero shots on target at home against a club below us in the league, isn't great. The only thing I want from next season is now shots on target.
What game were you watching? Blackpool had 5 shots on target to our none. At least twice JP made saves when they were clear through on goal.
Fair critique. They did create better chances than us. I was more trying to make the point that in terms of quality, both teams were clearly severely lacking in that match. Very much a mid-league-1 game. Both sides frequently lost control of the ball under little or no pressure, I think the two times I thought there would be a goal it was Blackpool shooting from the edge of the area.

I've come to accept he'll be our manager come game 1 next season.

I have to agree. He would have gone by now. Watching the intensity of the Play off final it makes me realise how behind these teams we are....and will be next season playing the guff we've seen. Oh for a decent winger like Cissoko.

Yes, we're miles away from that level, it's going to take an inspirational transfer window to compete at the top end of this God forsaken league.

After watching the L2 play-off final yesterday, I think we are even miles off Notts County's level. I genuinely fear for us next season under Richardson.

Don’t worry. They have more sustainability than us, that is all. Apparently we will get ours in three to four years according to a certain Championship wooden spoon expert. In the meantime, we will doggedly out clog enough sides to keep us up.

One hopes.
