It feels like I’m being asked to become a Wycombe fan in a bigger stadium, wearing a different kit.
Maybe it’s just the reset we deserve, but it really feels like we’ve gone from expecting to be a solid mid-table Championship club to reverting back to the small-team mentality I remember when I first started watching in the late 70s.
I guess the journey was fun, but I don’t remember ever feeling as apathetic towards the club as I do at the moment.
