This is a direct result of the 'conveyor belt' stuff I've mentioned before. It's why Forest can reject £120m for Elliott Anderson. Money (that they can spend) concentrated in the hands of a few clubs. Players only ultimately want to go to a tiny number of clubs. So someone will pay those inflated prices. Horse has bolted.
Yeah, I look at some of the quoted prices and think, what are we doing? WH want £50 million for an ok winger who has scored 4 goals this season. Are they high?Sanguine wrote: ↑17 Jun 2026 11:47This is a direct result of the 'conveyor belt' stuff I've mentioned before. It's why Forest can reject £120m for Elliott Anderson. I think any transfer between clubs in the Premier League has to be at least double the fee it would normally be to convince us that its the best league in the world with the best players.
