I think the 6 or 7 now maybe…
Lisbie
McIntyre (as low risk as a back up and can cover LB)
Meite
Archie Collins (we have made an offer, but will likely get out bid)
Sam Nombe (we still hold an interest)
Another Centre back
Another right back aswell as hopefully Abrefa signing on.

You forgot ex-player Tennai Watson rumoured to become yet another old player to return.
Who next, Trevor Senior or perhaps that lad Michael who went to Palace and moved elsewhere, what became of him I wonder?

Is there actually any truth in Meite or was he just updating his online photo album causing people to get over-excited?

Why do I keep seeing mentions of McIntyre - wishful thinking by a select few or an actual rumour?

Were we ever interested in Fred Onyedinma or was that simply the Wyvombe link?

Not sure what other players have been rumoured so far this summer...

In fairness McIntyre and Meite are the 2 I have not heard about away from the twitterati. According to sources on there Meite agent is pushing for a return. And TMc also said in a recent interview he would love a return. Lisbie I believe is pretty much done. Nombe and Collins both came from my source who said we were after Marriott. But he also said we face competition for both. Depends how much Couhig and co is willing to push to get them.

I think Couhig made a comment about paying big wages for players who don't play much. Well we've got Ritchie, Williams, O'Mahony and Burns off our books who all allegedly sat in that bucket.

You'd expect our top earners now to be Wing, O'Connor and Pereira who are all 40 games a season, plus Marriott who will probably be top scorer.

Good progress balancing the squad.

McIntyre was interviewed by Ady Williams on Radio Berkshire in the last few weeks. Of course he said he’d welcome a return, still lives locally.

This is a great list - whats the current situ on the Unders and related, and when do all those released officially depart - 30th June?

Andy Y still no home yet I see andTransferMkt not up to date on squad yet.

Suppose things are going to get busier in the next 2 weeks - Charlie off a racing certainty but when, and the contract offered guys have to accept or walk away by when ??

Wonder if all the released (unsung) Unders will find a gig or some just give and get a regular job and play Sunday league - it must be really hard for them all those years of hope dashed so quickly - its a tough tough business

Hopefully an intereting few weeks ahead of us.

Not renewed ST and no regrets - Pay As You Go is the Way to Go - my new preference easy and simple

I'm really sorry (obviously a plastic...) but when did Ben Elliott leave?

He's not in the squad posts above nor on our website. I've googled it, and cannot see a news article about him leaving... so what happened?

Isn't his contract up this year anyway?

Officially contracts expire on 30th June, but recall someone on here saying at some point players still get paid by their former club until the end of the transfer window if they haven't found a club (anyone know about this?).

The youth players are in an interesting* situation. There will likely be a minimum level to stay in football (even part-time), probably because below that point their pay wouldn't allow them to and any different career would have to become their main job (leading to a conflict about availability to play).

As it stands a first team of:

Pereira

Abrefa O'Connor Ward Roberts

Fraser Wing Rinhomota

Lisbie Marriot Kyerewaa

Subs: Stevens, Dorsett, Ahmed, Sackey, Kelvin.E ,R. Williams, Lane

That actually isn't to bad of a team and i would expect that team to comfortably hold their own in middle table area. I think a powerful midfielder with some speed would be a good option. A right back maybe however i would be happy with Abrefa and Ahmed but feel Ahmed would benefit from a season out on loan. I'm torn up front as Kelvin.E really hasn't found his true position and i'm really hoping Patton has a breakout season. Maybe another CB now that Williams has hung up his boots.
The squad is much more streamlined now with a fair few of the high earners moved on! A couple of shrewd signings to add to the squad and we may get the dark horse tag! Its a stronger league this season and we will do well break into the play off group. If Leam can make the promise of more entertaining football a reality then you never know. What we don't want is a tough start again and end up chasing shadows.
PS i left Savage out as i believe he will be gone soon.

No.

I've realised I haven't put a colour key:
  • Green - new signing
  • Blue - contract extended
  • Grey - first team player offered new contract, but hasn't signed
  • Faded blue - youth team player offered new contract, but hasn't signed
