I`ve never experienced hate on this scale. people might not like their style of football, but to my knowledge they`ve never knowingly cheated .

As for the fans? what is that based on, a song they sing before kick off at the Emirates?

Arteta is a fcuking twat. As is Fabregas and Keown.

Their football is shocking but then look at Man City - tedious shit.
Trying to hang on for 84 minutes, it’s just like watching Reading.

Never going to happen, it fuels their sense of superiority and their victim complex.

Do you think "hate on this scale" is completely without context?

As for the fans, spend a bit of time in social media and you'll see and yes, they are far worse than pretty much every other fanbase. The perpetual sanctimony, superiority and victimhood. It's the AFTV influence. It's also a reflection of Arteta's character.

As far as I know they`ve never been the cause of a European ban for all English clubs.half a million fans on the street today, and you`re painting them all with the same brush because of a few internet knobheads.

Where was "world class" Saka last night?
Madueke of late looks far more threatening than him, even if he falls over just the same given the slightest contact and focusses too much on going arm in arm with his full-back (last night dragging him to the ground but the ref sussed it even if an apoplectic Rice from about 50 yards away didn't).

Let's hope that Saka bucks up when it comes to the World Cup.

Brilliant stuff that Whitehouse would have enjoyed (and probably written) as a Spurs fan.
Don't they look young?

Admittedly, I don’t watch a lot of football, but I’m still yet to see Saka have a good game.

He is a good finisher but can't cross with his right and predictably comes inside on his left foot about 95% of the time and he falls over a lot.

Probably looking after himself so he gets to the World Cup.

Tbf, you ought to disclose that you are a Spurs fan.

ps I have always disliked Arsenal, but I was up for them last night, largely because they have a ( relatively high) number of English players. IIRC it was five in the semi final starting line-up.

I have an 80 year old Arsenal supporting friend who is pretty one-eyed about them most of the time (and wears club shirts whilst walking his dog  ) but even he said the ref got both decisions right.

I never thought I'd say it, but Jack Wilshere is *EVEN WORSE* than Martin Keown. In fact, he's even worse than Eni Aluko, if she were combined with Keown, Rio Ferdinand and Michael Owen. I've seen wet walls with more charisma, charma and presence.

It's like looking and listening to a sulky dick of a teenager. His whole aura is sulky, down, bored, negative, dark, offputting.

RANDOM THOUGHTS

1) The kick off time was a load of shite. It was apparently to help fans attending the ground but selfishly, I much prefer the 8pm kick off as you can make it part of your evening. Watching at 5pm means it's basically late afternoon and it's just weird. I drank during the build up and was s1tfaced by 9pm and also bored to death from the game so went to bed.

2) The build up was shit. I know filling 2 hours is hard, I get that, and in fact they'd been on-air even earlier but on different shows. But it was endless montages. The montages where they show 5 minutes of fast paced endless clips, like a goal, then cutting to some weird voiceover, then some rap music, then 10 goals in a row. It gives you a headache. They showed the line ups, but I don't think there was any proper analysis or real discussion about the game and what to expect, danger zones, etc.

3) It felt Americanized and I think this is clearly where we are heading - especially with it being a huge event like this but I think even for smaller things they're going to push this stuff more - like pre-game shows and stuff. I don't think European fans expect or want that ... who knows. I can only speak for myself but it adds nothing for me seeing loads of dancers and a band belt out two songs.

4) I don't get the Arteta hate - I really like him. I think he's a good person, he has worked hard to build this team, kept his job despite several years of constant doubters and spoilt fans demanding more. I can partially understand the hate for Arsenal, their fans are a different breed and somehow even worse than the other "big clubs". But I did want them to win, but moreso as I didn't want PSG to win.

5) Is anyone sick of every-oxf*rd-game, especially big ones, being dominated after by whinging over little decisions. Like - "Oh yea it was definitely a penalty" and then the manager and fans all moaning about it. SEriously - it's predictable now. Wait for t enext huge derby game, and they'll be 1-2 big things where it just gets spoken and complained about constantly. STFU.

6) Agree on the half time whistle being a good thing when Arsenal were preparing for the corner. I didn't understand at the time why the ref did that but think it needs doing more as I am sick of players doing this sort of nonsense, a bit like when they fall down and grab the ball (and sometimes do get a handball given against them), or trying to take a free kick 10 yards forward.

The kick off time was about the only good thing about Saturday if you ask me - admittedly it was 6pm here rather than 5 but felt like a good time to watch esp as the evening is light - lends itself to having a BBQ whilst watching or going to a decent pub where you can watch it outside. Also means more kids can watch as the game is done by the time it used to start.

And also, it really does make more sense from an attending fans perspective - having 70-80k people trying to leave a match at midnight is a logistical nightmare, so moving it to 6pm local time just makes sense.

Very supportive of more games kicking off at say 6.30 local time.

Lol.

Deserved a booking but never a foul??????

And of course, if he has been booked they'd be complaining about a biased ref sending their player off.

Of course, I was just a bit taken aback by how much NON Spurs fans seemed delighted that they lost, especially considering the opposition
